Barley Malt - is one of the main ingredients for beer production. Barley includes 2 main components, glucid and protein, but has a higher content and is more important, especially the glucid/protein ratio is balanced and suitable for beer production.
Malt is produced by germinating Barley seeds. The purpose of the germination process is to activate, accumulate the mass and activity of the enzyme system in the Barley seeds. To have good quality Malt, it is necessary to create suitable conditions of temperature, humidity, and ventilation for the seed mass to develop the embryo. After the germination process, drying, separating the roots, and cleaning, we obtain Barley Malt for beer production.
Barley is grown in many places around the world, mainly in temperate climates. Barley is grown in 2 seasons: winter and spring. The annual output in the world is about 135 million tons, but only about 21 million tons are used to produce about 17 million tons of Malt. Of this, 94% is used to produce 1.6 billion Hl of beer annually.
Imported malt is always carefully selected to produce the best quality products, meeting the requirements of major domestic and international beer manufacturers.
